  • FY10 An Overview of the Evaluation of State and Local Education Programs and Policies Program: During this webinar, IES staff provided a general overview of the Evaluation of State and Local Education Programs and Policies grant program. Appropriate quasi-experimental and experimental evaluation designs, with a focus on state-level and district-level design issues, were discussed.

  • FY10 Cognition and Student Learning: During the webinar, IES staff provided an overview of the Cognition and Student Learning research programs, the IES goal structure, and peer review process. This session was intended for researchers who are unfamiliar with the Cognition and Student Learning research programs and, in particular, highlighted IES's interest in supporting cognitive research to improve instruction in education.

  • FY10 Grant Writing Workshop for Research on the Education Workforce (Education Leadership, Teacher Quality programs and Special Education Teacher Quality program): During this workshop, IES staff provided a general overview of its four programs that provide funding for research on the education workforce: Education Leadership, Teacher Quality — Reading and Writing, Teacher Quality — Math and Science, and Special Education Teacher Quality. The overview includes information on program requirements, the IES goal structure, and peer review process.
