This report aims to provide information about the similarities and differences between the allowable accountability formulae for identifying districts in need of improvement (DINI) under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Descriptive analyses will be used to calculate the number of districts identified as DINI by each of the accountability formula provided by the act. Subanalyses will include a cross tabulation of the number of districts identified as DINI by the following district characteristics: size, locale, and percentage of students in each subgroup (minority, poverty, limited English proficient, and students with disabilities).
