Dr. Christopher Mazzeo
Christopher Mazzeo is the Director for Evidence Use and Policy at Education Northwest where he also serves as Director of REL Northwest. Dr. Mazzeo has over 15 years of experience developing actionable research and evaluation findings and building partnerships that support better research and evidence use. Prior to joining Education Northwest, Mazzeo spent three years with the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research (CCSR) assisting state and national policymakers, school districts, and researchers in developing early warning and college readiness indicator systems and creating new research-practice partnerships. Mazzeo has also served as an evaluation consultant to the Harvard University Strategic Data Project, as a senior education policy analyst with the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices, and as Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Educational Leadership at Baruch College of the City University of New York. He earned his Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Policy, and Educational Practice at Stanford University in 2001.
