Reviewing individual education research studies is the foundation of all WWC products. Therefore, the WWC trains and certifies its reviewers to ensure that all reviews that are produced are accurate representations of whether studies meet WWC evidence standards.
In conjunction with the release of Version 3.0 of the Procedures and Standards Handbook, the WWC undertook a recertification of all reviewers certified in Group Design and/or Single Case Standards. The WWC reviewer database has been updated to reflect each reviewer’s certifications. Reviewers are denoted as either certified in version 3.0 standards or certified on version 2.1 standards for each type of standards, as applicable. Certification in version 3.0 standards indicates that reviewers were either trained on or demonstrated proficiency on the standards in the recertification effort. Over 100 reviewers work on the WWC contract and they are required to be certified in version 3.0 standards.
