Description:

This project team developed a prototype of a web-based product through which students engage with animated life-like characters to solve tailored social problem solving tasks. The prototype included an initial module for 4th and 5th grade students called Zoo U, and an online professional development and implementation tools for teachers. Pilot research in Phase I demonstrated that the software prototype functioned as planned, that teachers were able to integrate it within the classroom environment, and that students were engaged with the social learning activities.
