The Cooperative System Fellows Program
Objectives for the Cooperative System Fellows Program include:
To increase participants' knowledge of the organization, operation, and programs at NCES.
To assist Local Education Agencies (LEAs), states, and institutions of higher education and libraries of all kinds in improving their education data collection systems and capabilities.
To increase understanding and use of national education statistics.
To increase NCES's understanding of and responsiveness to the issues and challenges facing LEAs, states, institutions of higher education, and library agencies in collecting and reporting education data.
To promote and sustain professional standards in the collection of education data.
To build a cooperative local/state/higher education/federal network of education data professionals working together to improve the process and results of data collections.
