Building On the Success of Previous Efforts The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) recognizes that a high quality, efficient Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) is critical for providing the timely, accurate data needed to drive higher achievement, to reduce achievement gaps among students and to answer key education policy questions.

The Data-Driven Decisions for Academic Achievement (D3A2) project is Ohio's long-term data system initiative being designed to provide systemic access to timely, quality data and educational resources aligned to Ohio's academic content standards and develop the capacity of educators and stakeholders to access, analyze, and use data to improve instruction and student achievement.
