REL Midwest is currently working with partners in Ohio on additional projects to address state and local educational priorities.
Current Projects
REL Midwest is partnering with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) to develop an evaluation plan for Ohio’s Integrated Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework. Through a series of coaching sessions, REL Midwest is working with DEW to develop evaluation questions, data collection protocols, and analytic strategies. This project will support DEW in using data and evidence to improve MTSS implementation and better understand how the framework supports adult practices and student learning.
REL Midwest is partnering with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) to build adolescent literacy specialists’ awareness of, and capacity to use, the Providing Reading Interventions to Students in Middle School (PRISMS) Toolkit. REL Midwest will work with DEW to host a professional learning series that follows a train-the-trainer model, with an initial focus on building familiarity with the toolkit and applying its instructional practices, followed by deeper learning to support coaching and training of educators. This project will support DEW in reaching its broader goal of supporting the effectiveness and sustainability of the state’s literacy initiatives.
