REL Midwest is currently working with partners in Wisconsin on additional projects to address state and local educational priorities.
Current Projects
REL Midwest is working with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (Wisconsin DPI) to support its newly formed research and evaluation office by piloting an evaluation planning process. Through the pilot, they are designing an evaluation of the department’s early literacy coaching program, which will provide important information about the implementation of the program and support continuous improvement implementation. REL Midwest and Wisconsin DPI are codeveloping evaluation questions, data collection protocols, and analytic strategies for answering the evaluation questions. This project will support Wisconsin DPI in using data and evidence to improve early literacy while mapping processes it can use to evaluate other programs.
REL Midwest is working with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (Wisconsin DPI) to build its capacity to improve its early childhood education data infrastructure, enabling the department to make informed decisions about the implementation and funding of its four-year-old programming. As part of this effort, REL Midwest is conducting a 50-state scan of early childhood education data systems to identify strong models for collecting, reporting, and analyzing data related to the programming. This work will support Wisconsin DPI’s broader goal of meeting the needs of its youngest learners and their families.
