In this announcement, the Institute of Education Sciences (Institute) requests applications to its Partnerships and Collaborations Focused on Problems of Practice or Policy grants program (Research Collaborations Program). The research supported by the Research Collaborations Program is to be done in close collaboration with practitioners and policymakers1 made possible by the partnering of research institutions with U.S. state and local education agencies. Through this program, the Institute seeks to improve the quality of education for all students - prekindergarten through postsecondary and adult education - by advancing the understanding of and practices for teaching, learning, and organizing education systems. By identifying what works, what does not, and why, the goal of this research grant program is to improve education outcomes for all students, particularly those at risk of failure.
