In this announcement, the Institute of Education Sciences (Institute) describes its Research Training Program in Special Education (Training) funded through the National Center for Special Education Research. For FY 2019, the Institute is accepting applications for the Training program under one topic: Early Career Development and Mentoring (Early Career). The purpose of the Institute’s Training program is to prepare individuals to conduct rigorous and relevant special education and early intervention research that advances knowledge within the field and addresses issues important to education policymakers and practitioners. The Early Career program seeks to build the next generation of special education and early intervention researchers.
