Description: | Purpose: This project is developing a model of the relationship between teacher characteristics and student achievement. Model development will involve the exploration of three research questions: (1) which characteristics of highly qualified teachers are associated with student achievement in mathematics; (2) how does the presence of a high-quality teacher relate to the levels of achievement for traditionally low performing students; and (3) which groups of students are most likely to have access to teachers exhibiting the characteristics associated with higher achievement? | ||
