 eporting\, and using education statistics.  The Conference provided inform
 ation about changes in how the U.S. Department of Education collects and u
 ses data\, and developments in electronic data standards for schools\, sch
 ool districts\, and states.  There were half-day training sessions for CCD
  Fiscal and Nonfiscal Data Coordinators\, presentations on NCES's survey a
 nd assessment programs\, and overviews of developing statewide longitudina
 l data systems.    Pre-registration for the summer meeting of the National
  Forum on Education Statistics membership (July 23-25) and the STATS-DC 20
 07 Data Conference (July 25-27)\, has ended.  You may still attend the Dat
