Online Research and Networking Meeting: Designing Online Learning Platforms to Enable Research

Date and time: Friday, April 17, 2020 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Eastern Time

The Virtual Learning Lab, with a grant from the National Center for Education Research to the University of Florida is hosting a virtual workshop. Owners/representatives of online learning platforms and education researchers will come together to discuss the opportunities and challenges to equip online learning platforms with the tools that allow educational researchers to run experiments and collect student and teacher data. This session will foster developer-researcher relationships to fuel ongoing innovations in educational technology. During the session, panelists will present the online learning platforms that they have helped develop, then join the attendees for facilitated conversations to discuss current challenges and to form solutions from diverse perspectives. Attendees will participate small group discussions with at least 2 panelists.
