About this event

In light of recent, high-profile reports of misconduct by school officials in the test administration process, the U.S. Department of Education is seeking to identify and share information about testing integrity. NCES hosted a testing integrity symposium to examine important issues in academic testing.

A distinguished body of expert panelists shared best practices for:

  • Prevention of testing irregularities;

  • Detection and analysis of testing irregularities;

  • Response and investigation of alleged testing irregularities; and

  • Testing integrity practices and procedures for online and computer-based assessments.
