Description: REL Central will display a poster to introduce NIEA conference participants to the American Indian Education Research Alliance. The poster will feature the alliance goals, research agenda, projects, and dissemination efforts. It will highlight current projects under the alliance, including the North Dakota Native American Needs Assessment Survey project in which REL Central collaboratively developed a needs assessment survey to identify the strengths and challenges of North Dakota schools serving Native American students. The survey addressed topics such as culturally responsive instruction, social-emotional learning, school climate, student attendance, equity, and educator professional development. The poster will be accompanied by examples of the collaborative work between REL Central and state partners, including logic models and evaluation plans. Finally, the poster and accompanying materials will showcase alliance engagement strategies and dissemination efforts, including newsletters, webinars, and virtual community of practice meetings.
