2024 Panhandle Area Educational Consortium Summer Teacher Content Area Literacy Conference Session: Helping Content Area Teachers Shine with Literacy

Facilitators of this interactive session will provide an overview of the Institute of Education Sciences Improving Adolescent Literacy: Effective Classroom and Intervention Practices practice guide recommendations and the Improving Adolescent Literacy infographic addressing evidence-based literacy practices which may be integrated into content area classes. Participants will become familiar with the infographic and engage in a lesson and debrief discussion about how to incorporate the recommendations into content area classroom instruction.
