Description: Presenters will highlight the work of REL Central's College and Career Readiness Research Alliance that focuses on examining educational and workforce outcomes associated with Career and Technical Education (CTE) course-taking. REL Central is partnering with four state education agencies (SEAs) in its region to identify data and use the Common Education Data Standard (CEDS) tools to develop CTE data-dictionaries. These CTE data-dictionaries will support the development of research plans to study the relationship between CTE course-taking and educational and workforce outcomes. REL Central will provide an overview of the CTE approaches of two state partners. These two SEAs will share what challenges they have encountered in studying CTE course-taking and how the College and Career Readiness Research Alliance is supporting them in addressing their research questions.
