Experts from Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Southwest and the Louisiana Department of Education began the session with a brief overview of research that informs practices that support early career teachers and keep them in the profession. Next, a panel of local school leaders and early career teachers discussed the practices they have found most useful at their schools. Participants walked away with a better understanding of effective leadership practices that support early career teachers.
