How Can We Support Schools to Create Inclusive Environments for Indigenous Teachers and Teachers of Color?

Description: Evidence shows that students, especially Indigenous students and students of color, benefit from a diverse educator workforce. REL Midwest is working with school districts in Minnesota to foster school environments supportive of diverse school staff. This session will discuss research on the benefits of a diverse educator workforce, introduce REL Midwest's coaching series for school staff and school leaders, and then facilitate sharing and discussion about elements of school environment and working conditions that support Indigenous teachers.
