Location: National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Annual Meeting & Exposition 2024, Chicago, IL

Description: The Engagement and Achievement through Computational Thinking (ENACT) partnership is supporting grade 6 teachers to integrate computational thinking (CT) and student-focused practices into their district's grade 6 mathematics curriculum. This session will introduce teachers to CT practices like pattern recognition, abstraction, decomposition, debugging, and algorithms (PRADDA). Attendees will leave with standards-aligned activities to help students build mathematics identities and develop individualized strategies for approaching, discussing, and connecting math tasks and concepts.
