Description: Measuring equity gaps is key to understanding if a program expands participation of historically underrepresented groups and reaches all students, regardless of their characteristics. This presentation discusses ways to measure equity gaps in program participation and outcomes, using results from an Oregon dual-credit program as examples. Through lecture and small-group practice, participants will use Excel to calculate basic statistics and develop data visualizations that can illustrate equity gaps in their programs.
