The slides and handouts present information on the importance of family engagement and how family engagement supports student achievement; research-based practices related to family engagement in mathematics; and mathematics activities and strategies that can be implemented across school and home contexts. REL AP staff originally developed these materials as part of the Strengthening Mathematical Mindsets partnership for use at a workshop with classroom and afterschool educators, and family engagement specialists in West Virginia.
