Teacher's K-3 Guides to Supporting Family Involvement in Foundational Reading Skills

Description: This conference session will acquaint teachers, coaches, and administrators with the Regional Educational Laboratory Southeast's Teacher's Guides for Supporting Family Involvement in Foundational Reading Skills in Kindergarten through grade 3. The audience will receive an overview of the teacher guides and the online companion resources. The audience will have the opportunity to brainstorm with colleagues and discuss how their district or school could use the teacher guides with the families they serve and how to support the use of the online resources with children in the home setting. The goal is to equip kindergarten through grade 3 teachers with activities they can provide parents and caregivers that support the development of foundational reading skills at home.
