About this event

This presentation begins with an overview of the Alabama English Learner Outcomes Partnership and how it supports partner schools with implementing professional learning communities for the four recommendations described in the What Works Clearinghouse Practice Guide, Teaching Academic Content and Literacy to English Learners in Elementary and Middle School. The session then focuses on new learning under Recommendation 1 (teaching academic vocabulary) and illustrates how one PLC in Alabama is implementing those new concepts.
