About NCER and NCSER
The National Center for Education Research (NCER) supports rigorous research that helps solve significant education problems in our country. The National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) sponsors a comprehensive program of special education research designed to deepen our understanding of the conditions that improve developmental and educational outcomes for learners with or at risk for disabilities.
Meeting Co-Chairs
IES enlisted the help of three Co-Chairs - Jose Blackorby (CAST, Inc.), Laura Booker (Tennessee Department of Education), and Beth Tipton (Northwestern University) – to provide input and ideas for this year's meeting, particularly with respect to strengthening the connections between research and practice. With their combined experience and expertise in education and special education research, working in/with state and local education agencies, and research methods and statistics, they have provided invaluable suggestions and feedback on the meeting theme, sessions, and speakers. We are grateful for their contribution.
