About NCER and NCSER
The National Center for Education Research (NCER) supports rigorous research that helps solve significant education problems in our country. The National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) sponsors a comprehensive program of special education research designed to deepen our understanding of the conditions that improve developmental and educational outcomes for learners with or at risk for disabilities.
Meeting Co-Chairs
IES enlisted the help of two Co-Chairs – Brian Boyd (University of Kansas) and Doré R. LaForett (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) – to help refine and implement this year’s meeting vision and structure. With their combined experience and expertise in education and special education research and working in/with state and local education agencies, they have provided invaluable suggestions and feedback on the meeting theme, sessions, and speakers. We are grateful for their contribution.
