About this event

This report describes the achievement gaps between Hispanic and White public school students at the national and state levels and how those achievement gaps have changed over time. Most of the data in this report are derived from the results of the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) main assessments in mathematics and reading. The report includes the NAEP results for the most recent year, 2009, as well as earlier years (NAEP state assessments in mathematics were given first in 1990; reading at grade 4 in 1992, and reading at grade 8 in 1998).
