Findings from the Pilot Teacher Compensation Survey: School Year 2005-06 (NCES 2008-440)

This First Look reports findings from a pilot test that collected teacher compensation data from the administrative records of seven volunteering states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The information collected from these records included teacher base salary, total salary, benefits, highest level of education, years of teaching experience, gender, and race/ethnicity.
