National Indian Education Study, 2007: Part I (NCES 2008-457)

Part I of the 2007 National Indian Education Study (NIES) contains results from an assessment that was conducted as part of the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). It provides in-depth information on the academic performance of fourth- and eighth-grade American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students in reading and mathematics. Results from this study are compared to those from the first NIES conducted in 2005 and to those of non-AI/AN students.
