National Indian Education Study, 2007: Part II (NCES 2008-458)

This report is Part II of the National Indian Education Study (NIES), conducted by the National Center for Education Statistics, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Indian Education. The report summarizes the educational experiences of the 4th and 8th grade American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students who participated in 2007 National Assessment of Educational Progress. The report presents data on the characteristics of AI/AN students, their teachers and schools, and on the integration of native language and cultures in the home and at school.
