About this event
Samples of approximately 38,000 fourth-graders and 31,000 eighth-graders participated in the 2011 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA) in mathematics. Students responded to questions designed to measure their understanding in the areas of: number properties & operations, measurement, geometry, algebra, and data analysis, statistics, & probability.
Performance results are presented in the form of NAEP scale scores and percentages of students at the Basic, Proficient, and Advanced achievement levels. The report also includes information about the performance of different student groups and gap comparisons by gender and race/ethnicity. Comparisons are made between 2011 results and those from previous assessments. Results are available for different years for different TUDAs, but the earliest year data is available for mathematics is 2003.
