The Nation's Report Card: U.S. Mathematics 2007 - National Assessment of Educational Progress at Grades 4 and 8 (NCES 2007-494)

A nationally and state representative sample of more than 350,000 students at grades 4 and 8 participated in the 2007 mathematics assessment. The assessment evaluated students' knowledge in the areas of number properties and operations, measurement, geometry, data analysis and probability, and algebra. National and state-level results are reported in terms of scale score averages and achievement level percentages for 2007, 2005, 2003, 2000, 1996, 1992, and 1990. Results are reported by sex, race/ethnicity, eligibility for free or reduced price lunch, and percentile (10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th).
