About this event
A nationally and state representative sample of more than 350,000 students at grades 4 and 8 participated in the 2007 reading assessment. Students in the fourth grade were assessed for their skills in reading for literary experience and reading for information. Reading to perform a task was added for eighth grade students. National and state-level results are reported in terms of scale score averages and achievement level percentages for 2007, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2000, 1998, 1994, and 1992. Results are reported by sex, race/ethnicity, eligibility for free or reduced price lunch, and percentile (10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th).
