In the first technical support session of the Alaska K-3 Literacy Survey for Districts project, REL Northwest will meet with literacy staff from the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (AK DEED) to revise the existing District Reading Survey. This survey was developed by AK DEED to gather information about district-level practices and supports for reading instruction. During the session, REL Northwest will lead activities in identifying and mapping survey items and concepts with the goal of building AK DEED capacity for, and understanding of, best practices in survey design.
