About this event

As part of an ongoing project to implement trauma-engaged practices in schools, REL Northwest will meet with members from the Alaska Alternative Schools Coalition (AASC) and the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (AK DEED) to help them develop a continuous improvement cycle for these practices.

In Session 1, REL Northwest will review results of the AASC Trauma-Engaged Practices and Policies Implementation Survey (TES) and how participating schools have addressed components found in the Transforming Schools Framework published by AK DEED in 2020. Working in school teams, partners will then engage in activities to analyze their TES data and identify factors affecting their ability to implement trauma-engaged practices. With root causes established, AASC partners will plan for their first innovation and improvement cycle to address problems of practice.
