About this event

This webinar builds awareness of the potential for using data with an equity lens and provide resources to educators for using data in an asset-based and whole child perspective (Datnow & Park, 2018; Garner, Thorne, & Horn, 2017). Researchers and practitioners at WestEd have merged the practices of culturally responsive pedagogy with data literacy for teachers (Mandinach & Gummer, 2016b, 2016c) into the concept of culturally responsive data literacy (CRDL). This event will help practitioners become aware of what CRDL is and how to integrate it into practice. A specific goal is to provide the participants with an understanding and some tools to use in their practice.

Speakers: - Ellen Mandinach, Senior Research Scientist, WestEd

  • Saroja Warner, Senior State Technical Assistance Director, WestEd
  • Natalie Lacireno-Paquet, Director of Research and Evaluation, WestEd
