Description: Join REL Pacific, education researchers and practitioners to learn about and discuss concrete examples of what culturally sustaining pedagogy (CSP) looks like in the classroom, in teacher preparation programs, and in state-level policy. During this 90-minute webinar, the presenters will define CSP and its relationship to student outcomes, review the four elements of CSP outlined in the REL infographic What is Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy?, discuss how they support or promote CSP in their role or context, and engage in question-and-answer opportunities. REL Pacific will also highlight available open-source resources related to CSP and equity.
Participants will learn about--
- What CSP is and how it relates to student outcomes
- Examples of what CSP can look like in practice, across multiple educational contexts
- Available REL resources related to CSP and equity.
