On September 10, 2024, REL West met with partners at Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) for session 4 of the "Descriptive Snapshots of SAUSD Expanded Learning Programming and Development of Research Agenda" project. During session 4, participants reviewed the inquiry cycle and discussed how the final three steps applied to planned program changes to Expanded Learning for two SAUSD schools; applied the "Study" and "Act" steps of the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle to plan program changes; used data collected between Session 3 and Session 4 to monitor and evaluate a change in staff professional development for improvement and designed and implemented a plan for next steps; reviewed additional improvement resources and identified relevant resources for upcoming staff professional development; and developed an understanding of the steps for developing a multi-year inquiry agenda.
