About this event

During the third working session, REL Northwest trained Oregon Department of Education (ODE) partners in how to develop a focus group feedback protocol, using guidance from Module 6 of the Program Evaluation Toolkit. Using the Guidelines for Interviews and Focus Groups handout found in Module 6, REL Northwest guided ODE partners through a mapping activity where they will map prioritized gaps or questions identified in Session 1 to proposed focus group participants who are best suited to addressing those questions and then develop items mapped to audience groups and topic areas. REL Northwest use the interview question types as categorized in Merriam (2019) to guide item creation and train ODE partners to build balanced protocols from items.
