Description: The Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Central, in collaboration with the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE), is presenting an online webinar on approaches to establishing evidence of validity and reliability for instruments used to evaluate teacher candidates. This webinar will review Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) expectations for the validity and reliability of assessments developed by educator preparation program staff. In addition to providing in-depth information regarding approaches to examine the validity and reliability of teacher candidate performance assessments, the webinar will offer an overview of existing teacher candidate evaluation instruments, including the steps taken to examine and ensure their validity and reliability.
