In the second session with Montana's Office of Public Instruction (OPI), REL Northwest will continue to discuss how the OPI team can use research to to revise its mathematics standards for all grade levels. Returning to the research that was summarized in Session 1, REL Northwest will continue to provide an overview of existing literature related to math education and practices, including a literature scan of high school mathematics pathways. After the group interprets this data, REL Northwest will lead a discussion based on this activity and will discuss what specific standards revisions the OPI writing team intends to make based on the research base.
