Description: Many schools and districts have started using networked improvement communities (NICs) to address complex problems, bringing together a group of stakeholders to collaboratively explore, learn, discuss, and develop actions for improvement. But who is invited to join the NIC and how they are engaged in the work can have an impact on the NIC's overall success, as can the development of a sound theory of practice improvement. In this webinar hosted by REL Pacific in support of the Hui (Partnership) for All to Benefit from Hawaiian Education, Ben Cronkright and Dr. Carlos Sandoval will discuss and present strategies for establishing a theory of practice improvement to guide a NIC's work, as well as considerations and strategies for attending to issues of power and positioning within the NIC itself.
