Promoting Kindergarten Readiness for Dual Language Learners: Evidence-based Language Models and Transition Strategies

Description: This webinar will present research-based language models for dual language learners in pre-kindergarten (preK), with a particular focus on models that incorporate the use of home languages. The presenters will describe implementation of the models and will consider alignment challenges in the transition from preK to K-3 settings. Participants will learn strategies to consider when developing or refining language models for pre-K and aligning models between preK and K-3 settings.

Partnership or Research Alliance: Cross-REL English Learners Working Group Audience: The primary audience for this webinar includes state and district education staff who are responsible for oversight of early childhood programs and of English learner students. Early childhood and K-3 educators are also encouraged to attend.
