In the second of eight technical support sessions, REL Northwest will work with leaders from the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and its Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to revise the Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) survey to measure the progress of the ODE Student Success Plans in improving educational outcomes for African American/Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Latino/a/x & Indigenous, and LGBTQ2SIA+ students.
After reviewing decisions from Session 1, REL Northwest will introduce criteria for high-quality operational definitions and explain how they can be used in measuring prioritized indicators for the SEED survey. In small groups, ODE partners will draft operational definitions for different indicators.
