In the first of eight technical support sessions, REL Northwest will work with leaders from the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and its Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to revise the Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) survey to measure the progress of the ODE Student Success Plans in improving educational outcomes for African American/Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Latino/a/x & Indigenous, and LGBTQ2SIA+ students.
After reviewing a data collection plan that was developed in an earlier project with ODE partners, REL Northwest will facilitate a group discussion to identify indicators and select scales that can be added to the SEED survey, which collects data on educational experiences of students in Oregon. The group will then establish next steps for the following sessions in the series.
