On April 18, 2023, REL West met with partners at Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) to kick off the Evidence-Based Early Literacy Practices in Sacramento County Partnership. In session 1, participants increased their knowledge of evidence-based, joyful, and culturally and linguistically sustaining early literacy instructional practices, increased their awareness of how to engage diverse parents and families in school-family early literacy partnerships, and used existing assets and new ideas from the session to create an early literacy action plan.
