**Description: ** Join REL Southwest for a free webinar on the special education enrollment gap in Louisiana. The webinar will explore the findings and implications of REL Southwest's report Special Education Enrollment and Classification in LouisianaCharter Schools and Traditional Schools. In this interactive webinar, participants will learn about the report's findings from Principal Investigator Dr. Patrick Wolf, PhD, distinguished professor of education policy at the University of Arkansas. In addition, participants will hear a researcher's perspective on the applications and implications of the report's findings outside of Louisiana from Tessie Bailey, PhD, principal technical assistance consultant at the American Institutes for Research, followed by a practitioner's reflection on applying the findings in a charter school setting from Sametta Brown, retired chief executive officer of New Beginning Schools Foundation. Finally, presenters will engage in a panel discussion facilitated by Shannon Lasserre-Cortez, PhD, senior researcher at REL Southwest and coauthor of the report, and participants will have the opportunity to pose questions in a question-and-answer session.
