About this event

Time: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Location: Webinar

Description: Can we change culturally based inequities to increase access and success of underrepresented students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and nontraditional career preparation programs? This webinar presents an evidence-based framework schools and districts can use to identify and implement effective strategies to promote the participation, persistence, and completion of underrepresented students by gender, race and ethnicity, and special population status in STEM and career and technical education (CTE) programs. Specific approaches for rural schools and institutions serving Native American students and communities will be discussed.

Audience: The primary audiences for this event are STEM/CTE teachers, school leaders, equity directors, and guidance counselors.

Speakers: Ben Williams, National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity Sandra Staklis, RTI International Brandi Holten, REL Northwest at Education Northwest
