Teacher Working Conditions (Session 1): Summarizing the Research with Lower Kuskokwim SD

REL Northwest provided an overview of the research on the influence of teacher working conditions on teacher retention to partners at Lower Kuskokwim School District in Alaska. The session focused on identifying the features of working conditions that Lower Kuskokwim leaders can use for developing and implementing monitoring tools. REL Northwest, as part of the Improving Teacher Recruitment and Retention in Rural and Remote Schools Partnership, described how teacher working conditions are defined and measured in the research, the types of research design and methods used, and the implications of the design for interpreting results.
